Back to the roots: Germany’s Flagship Run route in Munich

The Wings for Life World Run in Munich in 2026 returns to its roots with a course that many participants from previous years know and love.

Iconic Olympiapark to Kick Things Off

The first few kilometers promise unforgettable moments: the run begins in the iconic Olympiapark, one of Munich’s most famous landmarks. With its stunning architecture and unique atmosphere, this starting point embodies the spirit of sport and community. From here, runners will head northwest, soaking in the park's vibrant energy.

Diverse Scenery and Nature’s Beauty

By the 10 km mark, runners will pass through the quaint neighborhoods of Fasanerie and Moosach, moving on to Ludwigsfeld and Karlsfeld by 15 km. As the half-marathon distance approaches, the urban energy gives way to lush greenery and peaceful natural surroundings.

For the Long-Distance Runners

Ultrarunners will continue westward through scenic landscapes, including Hattenhofen and Haspelmoor. With open fields, distant train tracks, and a path heading south, this stretch offers a sense of freedom and inspiration to fuel every step.
