Munich, at the foot of the Alps – a metropolis with heart and a lot of tradition. It is hospitable and pulsating, charming and bustling; in the middle of the incredible Bavarian outdoors, surrounded by beautiful lakes and an impressive alpine world. With nearly 1.5 million inhabitants, Munich is Bavaria’s most populous and largest city. The vast number of tourist attractions, diverse cultural offers, international sports events as well as Oktoberfest make the Bavarian metropolis a popular tourist attraction.

LOCATION: OLYMPIAPARK MUNICH
The starting location of the Wings for Life World Run in Munich is Olympiapark. The site, created for the 1972 Summer Olympic Games, features several famous buildings such as the Olympic Stadium, the Olympiahalle, and the Olympic Tower, and is world-renowned for its unique tent roof architecture. The Runners Village, as the central meeting point for all participants, the race bib distribution, the info point, and the start of the Wings for Life World Run are all centrally located at Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz (formerly Coubertinplatz). The baggage drop-off and changing rooms are located in the Olympiahalle (West Entrance).
START AT EXACTLY 13:00
At 12:45, the warm-up program begins at Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz. At exactly 13:00 local time, the Wings for Life World Run starts simultaneously around the world. By 12:30, i.e., 30 minutes before the start, you should be ready and present in the starting area. Volunteers will already be there to guide you to your position in the respective starting box. The starting lineup is based on the indicated performance level. The number of your starting box can be found on your race bib (1, 2, 3, 4). On your marks, the starting signal sounds, and off you go…
THE AUDI CATCHER CAR – THE FINISH LINE
The Audi Catcher Car represents the finish line and is accompanied by cyclists who will alert you as it approaches and remind you to stay on the right lane during the run.
Important: The Audi Catcher Car must overtake you on the left in order to record your time!
Please move aside! Do not obstruct the Audi Catcher Car, for example by taking selfies, and pay attention to any signals from the police or loudspeakers if necessary. The Audi Catcher Car must be able to pass freely to ensure the smooth running of the event. It is followed by additional vehicles such as medical services and the police tail vehicle. Once the Audi Catcher Car has passed you, you should leave the road and move to the side/sidewalk towards the nearest shuttle station.
